Ron, I just finished emailing you soliciting advise on a new camera purchase I am about to make when I thought, "I should check out his website." Fifteen minutes later I thought, "%$&*, I've got to get back to work!" ie. very nice work, captivating. Not only are you a great photographer, but a good writer as well. It isn't a surprise to see that some of your Photo Contest Finalist shots are from your early days before Brooks. I still get requests for your Wellsville Mt. shot. Keep on Keepin' on.

Laura,

Thanks for the great feedback! Wow. It's nice to hear an outsiders perspective. Don't be too hard on yourself, though. You have a great eye, and a killer ability to control light. That is something that I am struggling to grasp and really become strong with. Thank you as well for the nice comments on the "Eat Your Words". I have gotten mixed reviews on that, though I like it. It's always so hard to distinguish between the emotional tie to a photograph that we have produced, and the actual objective view of it, isn't it? Thanks for stopping in.

Noah,

Thanks for the comments. Yes, the food may look good, but I am not sure it would taste so good. This particular dish would have tasted ok, I think, but most are treated with products that would make your mouth bleed, rather than water. Also, they sit out for a little too long to feel good about downing them.

Eddie, thank you for your comments. This was shot with strobes, utilizing diffusion flats and mirrors as well. Are you into photography yourself? What interests do you have?

Looks delicious. Just curious about the lighting. Was a continuous light source used?

Hi, I'm currently applying at brooks, I've made it past the second interview and am going through the motions now. But all of a sudden I am being flooded with bad reports about Brooks. How do you feel? Do the people you know who are graduating getting good jobs? Is the school pushing you in a good way?

Oh. Mygosh. Ron, seriously these are soooo good. i just finished my 203 portfolio, and i was happy with it, until i saw these images! now i wanna scrap and start over! i know what you mean when you say "it takes a certain mind" to be a fashion photographer. heh. mine's not one of them! (yet?) but for you to say the same and produce these images? seriously. like one of your images - eat your words!

my fav images are the 1st and 4th on the list of your fashion images, though i'd be proud to call any of these my own. small tidbit of advice: i know its more time but go to the effort of naming these when you post the images, so people like me can comment!

once again, great work.

Ron,

I like the shot - you should turn it into a business making magazine cover shots for people.

PS - your rss feed has a problem. Your site description has an ampersand in it that breaks the feed - XML can't handle unescaped ampersands. Here's the line with the problem:

Here is where you can find the words behind the images. I am a professional photographer, a student, an amateur, an instructor, an impassioned adventurer. If you like my photography, here is where you may just find out why

You can see the ampersand in the space character you might want to try - that might escape the ampersand, or eliminate it all together if you don't need it.
