It is nice to know that there are still leaders who will raise their actions to their moral duty, in a world where others lower their pants in moral ambiguity.

“I’ve made it very clear to the Congress that the use of federal money, taxpayers’ money, to promote science which destroys life in order to save life — I’m against that. And therefore if the bill does that, I will veto it…”

This, the quote from the man who still has enough moral fortitude to stand up for his moral obligations, not to his country, not to himself, but to his God. This is a man who has a firm conviction in “the fundamental value and sanctity of human life”. How can so many see this as a bad thing. More can be read here, here, and here.

I am glad to see that there is still someone who calls a spade a spade. The problems that we are facing today are largely in part to the ever increasing mentality of “open-mindedness”, “acceptance”, “tolerance” and “individuality”. Things have gone so far left that it is considered politically incorrect, if not immoral to speak ill of those in our society who are not mainstream, even if they are threatening the very things that the majority hold dear. I am not a communist. I don’t think we should all be the same. But there are some underlying principles by which life was created and if those principles are trampled upon, then we are going to see an ever-increasing destruction of the fabric of society.

When we pit the importance of human life against human life itself for personal gain, when we challenge the creation of life in an attempt to prolong the moment of destruciton of it, that is when we have failed as a people. Don’t you see, in order to survive, we need a couple of basic fundamentals to remain intact.

We need to maintain the ability, (and take the action), to procreate. That is how life is started. After it is created, it must be nurtured, valued, and cared for. It must be protected. Eventually, that life-form comes to fruition as a mortal human being. It is now alive, breathing the air we all share, drinking from the water that we all survive with. It is not just water and air, though, that keeps this life healthy and well. It is love, protection, and a supply of the necessities of life. This wellness includes the need for a loving mother and father, the two who brought that life about through their act of love and selflessness. If that is not possible, then an alternative family is needed, one consisting of at least a loving mother and a father, who can love and raise that child into this world where there are equal amounts of opportunities to failures, if one is only taught (and willing) to see them. If two parents are not possible, or if one of the spouse is taken prematurely from the family, then the remianing parent is responsible for the life of that child, and should be able to call on family to help in whatever things are necessary for the well-being of the child.

I believe that the tolerance of others in their attempt to dimish the universal and everlasting title of Marriage, (the union of a Man and a Woman), will bring consequences greater than we know or care to face. I also believe that the moment that we begin meddling with the powers of creation in ways that are not natural to man, we are digging our own holes. The creation of life demands respect. It is not something to accomplish or to achieve in the laboratory, but rather a sacred element of our existence. It is very important that we honor and sustain the laws of life, and show value to the ordained process of procreation. It is only then that we can pray to God for our sustainance and His blessing.
